SnapSleep: an iPhone app that records the night
Records snoring through the night and saves the video and audio around each event, with night vision for a dark room. Processing stays on the phone — nothing is uploaded to us or to anyone else.

What it doesn't do
SnapSleep does not diagnose, and it does not replace a sleep study.
It has not been measured against a reference standard. Our accuracy figures so far come from our own hand-labelled recordings and a held-out test set — internal, not validated against polysomnography.

Two federal research applications
Spicetek has one research application under review at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and one at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Clinical judgement
In sleep medicine and in dentistry. Someone to review our inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the contraindication list for an intraoral appliance. A consultant role, not a co-investigator one: no subjects to enrol, no patients or records from your institution, and you set the hours and the rate.

Reference data
Groups with DISE recordings scored against VOTE, or with PSG and synchronised audio. What we bring is our own annotated overnight event data and a frozen annotation protocol. Co-authorship is on the table.

Seed-stage investors and corporate partners
Especially partners who bring manufacturing. Our intraoral appliance is in materials and 3D-printing validation, and that is the weakest part of what we do.

A co-founder
Not another person who writes software. Someone from the clinical or dental side.
